So You Finally Decided To Quit?
It’s a wise decision to quit smoking. I see it as an investment in my future. I don’t know how long you have been smoking for but I can tell you that it’s never too late to stop. The moment you do, your health begins to recover almost instantly.
That short interval that you give yourself after smoking one cigarette before lighting up the next, your body tries to heal itself. It’s the very reason why people who have been smoking for thirty or more years still don’t die.
Every cigarette box comes with warnings such as “smoking kills” etc. What you don’t know is that it does but very and I mean veerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry slowly!!! First the cough, then the irritating mucus building up abnormally in your trachea/ throat then the shortness of breath. Need I go into detail?
The moment you stop your body automatically begins cleaning itself from the harmful toxins. Imagine the stress you’re putting on yourself to continue this habit. Inhaling toxins from a cigarette, then your body tries to get rid of them, then you light up another and inhale some more, which puts your body back into healing mode, and the process goes on and on.
No wonder why smokers die prematurely. Not because of the smoking but your body uses up so much energy trying to heal itself from the effects of smoking, you eventually become weaker and weaker.
Seriously now do you really want to go on living like this?
