Have you ever tried writing your goals down for a change? Many people set goals for themselves but rarely do you get someone who sticks to accomplishing their goals and very rarely do you get someone who takes the time to write them down.

What’s so great about writing down goals anyway? And more importantly how is it going to help you quit smoking?

Two years ago I came a across an email I was subscribed to about goal setting. The main point emphasized in that email was that you should get up from your PC right now, and write down ten of your goals on a piece of paper. I did, I followed the instructions to the dot. I got off the PC found a pen and paper and wrote down ten things that I wanted to achieve that year.

The paper was misplaced. I lost it among the piles of papers on my desk. As the months drew closer to the new year however, I came across a small folded paper with a list of ten things written on it. To my surprise with one month to go for the new year to arrive, I had accomplished nine of the ten things I had written on that paper.

This is an excellent way to quit smoking. Set ten goals for yourself and one of these goals should be, to become smoke free person. Carry this paper in your wallet or with you wherever you go and review it every now and then to see how well your keeping up with your goals.
